Why Nick Castle will make ‘Halloween’ even more exciting
He’s back! Yep ‘The Shape’ is hitting the big screens again in 2018 with familiar faces returning. Of course, we are all excited about Jamie Lee Curtis returning as Laurie Strode and John Carpenter back on board but yesterday, Bloody Disgusting reported ‘The Shape’ really is coming back!
Nick Castle, the man behind the mask of the deadly ‘Michael Myers’ is returning after 40 years. 40 years!!
Nick Castle, now 70, really brought the fear factor in the very first film created by of course John Carpenter. The way he walked for starters really made Myers so scary and frightening. That ‘slow predator stalking it’s prey’ like walk just made you think ‘imagine if this nut job was chasing me’! Also, the simple things like moving his head in a certain way. I know that may sound silly but things like that really make a huge difference. That slow head tilt just makes Myers even more crazy!
Now I know he is 70 years of age now, but let’s face it, he won’t be performing any stunts (well I’m guessing not as James Jude Courtney is on board as a stuntman) but he will be the figure you see lurking behind you, standing on the corners, looking through your window. The way Nick Castle played ‘The Shape’ in 1978 really set the mark for Halloween to be one of the greatest horror franchises of all time!
Roll on October 19th, 2018!
I can’t wait!
