In This Hospital Patients Never Leave. ‘Inoperable’
It’s your worst hospital-nightmare and it’s being played on repeat. Director Christopher Lawrence Chapman’s latest horror film Inoperable, is a psyche disorientating marvel set in a paradoxical limbo. Starring prodigy scream queen Danielle Harris (the Halloween and Hatchet franchises), Inoperable is an essential horror film for anyone suffering from the monotony of daily life and the lingering fear that it is entirely beyond their control.
Trapped inside an austere and ruinous hospital as “Hurricane Sybil,”(a fictitious storm but indeed a truly clever allusion), barrels towards the coast ofTampaBayasAmy(Harris),Jen(KatieKeene,C lownTown)andher boyfriend Ryan (Jeff Denton, Soaked in Bleach), scramble to find their escape. Between the constant lapses their time and memory, the looming threat of the fast approaching storm and the treacherous evil that lurks within the very walls meant to keep them safe, Inoperable is a complex story that challenges the prognosis of even the most seasoned cinephiles.
Inoperable is more than just a challenge for those of us who find divine joy in searching for clues, foreshadows and making predictions during every film we watch. Chapman’s Inoperable is a layered and convoluted mesh of science fiction and psychology. Along with the allure of anticipation and terror, it offers a deeply compelling insight into blind madness and human relationships.
Inoperable is set for it’s theatrical release this coming Friday, December 1, 2017. Don’t miss prodigious actor Danielle Harris in her latest horror hit during its week long theatrical run in select major cities across the US including Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, New York and of course Orlando, Tampa and Miami.
