Yes! That’s all I can say right now. I’m a massive Ghostbusters fan and I’ve woken up to the news there is going to be another installment that’s set in the original Universe.
Jason Reitman, who starred at the little brat at the children’s party in Ghostbuster 2, has taken the directors seat for the next installment. As you may or may not know, Jason’s Dad Ivan Reitman directed the first 2 films.
Here’s what Jason told EW.
“I’ve always thought of myself as the first Ghostbusters fan, when I was a 6-year-old visiting the set. I wanted to make a movie for all the other fans,” Reitman says. “This is the next chapter in the original franchise. It is not a reboot. What happened in the ‘80s happened in the ‘80s, and this is set in the present day.”
“This is very early, and I want the film to unwrap like a present. We have a lot of wonderful surprises and new characters for the audience to meet,”
Could we see Vigo resurrect!?
Ghostbusters 3 is scheduled for summer 2020 with Sony Pictures.
