Stephen King and Peter Straub’s best selling fantasy novel The Talisman is set to hit the big screens Collider exclusively reveal.
Mike Barker, director of The Handmaid’s Tale, is set to direct the project for Spielberg’s Amblin Partners and Kennedy/Marshall Company.
The Talisman follows Jack Sawyer, a young boy in possession of a powerful talisman that can save his mother’s life, who is forced to go on the run from the inhabitants of a magical parallel universe who have discovered how to travel between worlds.
Frank Marshall is on board to produce the adaptation with Michael Wright serving as executive producer and Chris Sparling penning the script.
If this is a success, could we see the 2001 sequel ‘Black House‘ get an adaptation? The never ending list of Stephen King adaptations continue… don’t ya just love it!!!
