Shaun Of The Dead Duo Set For New Horror-Comedy Series ‘Truth Seekers’

 

If you love hour horror comedy, you’re in for a treat! Simon Pegg & Nick Frost are set to bring us a brand new horror comedy series called ‘Truth Seekers‘.

Simon Pegg & Nick Frost are undoubtedly the funniest duo in horror comedy in my opinion. Shaun Of The Dead is my favourite horror comedy to date and I doubt anything will take it’s throne. They also worked together on ‘Hot Fuzz‘ and ‘Paul‘ to name a few.

Pegg & Frost will release ‘Truth Seekers’ under their own production Company ‘Stolen Picture‘ which will be their first series release. The show will focus on a 3 person paranormal investigation team with each episode running 30 minutes.

Here’s what Pegg had to say to Variety regarding the project:

“Each episode is going to be an adventure, a potential haunting or something,” Pegg says. “It’ll start as a very parochial idea, a very small business venture for these people, but it will expand as the series goes on to be something far more global. It’s a language everyone understands, the mystery of the unknown. ‘Shaun of the Dead’ was a very parochial story set in North London and somehow it managed to get this global reach because everyone understands the language of zombie movies.”

Stolen Picture is set to release it’s first movie this year titled ‘Slaughterhouse Rulez‘ which is also of course a horror comedy!
