It looks like the upcoming Toy Story film won’t have good ol’ Woody saving the day as Buddi has destroyed Andy’s best friend. (Only joking) I think!
The latest poster (below) appears to show Buddi walking away from a rather obliterated Woody as Childs Play and Toy Story 4 both hit theatres on 21st June.
The film, written by Tyler Burton Smith, will be directed by Polaroids Lars Klevberg and produced by It producers David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith. Aaron Schmidt is on board as executive producer.
Aubrey Plaza and Brian Tyree Henry are on board the Child’s Play reboot with Mark Hamill voicing Buddi.
Plaza is playing mum with Henry acting as a detective.
The contemporary reboot is believed to follow a group of kids (a la It and Stranger Things), and a technologically-advanced doll that enters their world. The original 1988 movie followed a serial killer named Charles Lee Ray who casts a spell that traps his soul inside the body of a Good Guy doll named Chucky, which is then given to a young boy.
Child’s Play will slash it’s way into theatres 21st June.
